Our Guide to a Company's Stationery Legal Requirements

Guide to the Legal Requirements of Limited Company Stationery

The company’s name must be included on all company documents, publicity and letters.

On business letters, order forms, invoices and websites, it is a legal requirement to show:

• the company’s Registeration Number
• the company’s Registered Office address
• where the company is registered (England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland)
• state that it is a limited company (usually by showing the company’s full name including ‘Limited’ or ‘Ltd’)

If you want to include directors’ names, you must list all of them.
